FOX IV Technologies, Inc. introduced the world’s first HF (13.56 MHz) RFID label printer applicator in 2001 and was the only print and apply company to pass the EPCglobal’s certification for Class 1 and Class 0 tags.
FOX IV Technologies, Inc has designed and manufactured the largest number of EPC RFID label printer applicators in the world.
FOX IV Technologies was listed as one of the twelve leading companies in RFID in the book “RFID for Dummies”.
Rick Fox, President and CEO of FOX IV, co-authored a chapter - "Smart Label Print and Apply" in "RFID Labeling" by Kleist et al. Rick was a member of the PMMI RFID Expert Group. He was invited to be a member of the AIDC100 and is currently a member of GS1 Global Bar Code Technical Committee.

For print and apply, FOX IV Technologies' unique RFID tag validation process checks each tag prior to label application. Labels with no-read tags remain on the liner. This insures that RFID labels with no-read tags are not applied to the product, carton, or pallet. The no-read labels are automatically rewound on the liner for future tag audits.
Recent RFID applications include printing, encoding, and automatically applying RFID labels to plastic caps for steel pipes and another for a manufacturer of guitars to the guitar neck.
A custom design for a pharmaceutical company included a small equipment footprint, a 600 dpi printer, and a special applicator pad to print, encode, and apply RFID labels to vials.
FOX IV personnel have over 25 years experience in Auto ID systems integration into complex manufacturing and warehouse/distribution environments.
